my first time ...

i am a little excited .. rod and i just bought our tickets .. next saturday morning we will be standing in line with hundreds of others .. awaiting the start of the 2009 Susan G. Komen Dallas Race for the Cure .. the team we are on is Support The Sisters .. so if you are participating in the race .. look us up .. would love to meet you .. it will be our first time to participate .. we will be walking with our friend Allison and her friends.. Allison comes down/over from Phoenix to work for the race and according to her tomorrow is the last day you can purchase tickets online .. so get after it ..


we spent most of the weekend working on setting up the warehouse for the November 5, 6 & 7 sale .. we realized that we were not going to be able to contain the sale in just half of the 4800 sq foot warehouse .. so the sale is going to fill the entire 4800 sq feet.. there will be stuff that is ready to go just like it is .. and there will be stuff you can use to make something else .. stuff you can repair .. small stuff ... big stuff .. old stuff ... new stuff .. cool stuff .. weird stuff .. wood stuff .. metal stuff .. fabric stuff .. paper stuff .. also, shouting out to the 'menfolk' out there .. rod has decided to let go of some of his tools and my brother in law has asked if he can put some of his tools in the sale - the warehouse has a garage type door at each end - so the front end is going to be the entrance of the antique collectible junk sale and the opposite end is going to be the entrance for the tools and stuff like that - the tools are only going to cover about 1/4 of the warehouse, but there will be some great stuff .. my brother in law ran a construction / drywall business ..
also, forgot to mention ... there will also be a lot of old windows and doors that we bought some years ago meaning to do something with and never got around to it .. so we are selling them .. and my fabrics never made it to warrenton because of the rain .. so, i will have them including a huge load of tablecloths .. vintage and a huge stack of new Christmas tablecloths ..

here is a pic of a small area of the front portion of the warehouse set with some tables .. i start unpacking boxes and crates tomorrow and then we are working our way through the warehouse until we reach the other door ... stay tuned ..
