  1. I played Warren Zevon's song at a memorial we had for one of my dealers at Country Roads that had passed away at to young of an age. There are no words when things like this happen. My thoughts, prayers, and heart are with you today. Please take care, Sue

  2. There are just no words for me to express how truly, truly sorry I am for your loss. I read somewhere that we hurt because of how much we loved and how much we were loved. I can tell how much you loved her and were loved in return and I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for strength and comfort knowing she is with our Lord and now knows all the secrets.

My heart truly hurts for your loss. I wish I could give you a huge hug right now, you know how dear you are to me.

And yet with everything going on, you still made time to come over and pay me a visit today.

  13. God is good. I know because even when we grieve we can still praise and give him honor. It is such a different kind of grief, one with great hope. And in this hope we find comfort, that we will see our love ones again, that we loved them but never as much as their Heavenly Father, that there is no sorrow, disease or tears to wipe in Heaven. Can you imagine? I hope that this truth brings you joy in the middle of your loss. Do this make any sense? No, only to those who believe. Your words are a testament to that, so rest my friend, cry a little, rejoice a little, hope endlessly. Blessings, Marta.

  15. I've been behind on my reading, and just got to your post. I'm so sorry for the loss of your big sister. I lost my little brother 10 years ago this summer, and I still miss him.

Such a loss is heartbreaking. I love what Alan Jackson's song says, and I believe it's true. Your sis would want you to go on enjoying life. Sometimes there will be tears, and sometimes the laughter and joy of good memories. I pray for peace to fill your heart in the days ahead.

    Blessings!

  16. Troy,
I have you saved in my favorites and every night I say to myself, "I'm just going to check on Troy before I go to bed." You won't remember me but my sister and I drove to your sale in Waco months ago - she's the one who walked up to you and asked a price and then said out loud "twenty-five cents, twenty-five cents" and it took you by surprise and you had a good laugh. I wish you could have a good laugh about now.

I lost a brother and sister 18 months apart and I can tell you that my world is divided into "before Mark died" and "after Mark died". I know you already understand that. I just wanted to offer my sympathy as you grieve during these days.

I hope to see you at Canton before long.

    Blessings,
